Infections such as Viruses, Spyware, Trojans and other such nasties are a common sight in todays world and a very big and real problem. Such infections could be causing harm to your computer or files as well as watching your passwords and other sensitive data and sending it back to the creator of the infection for their use or for sale.

Another common infection allows someone to control your machine essentially as a bot to send out spam or viruses to other victims. It is essential that you keep your computer protected and the protection up-to-date to prevent and eliminate any such infections.

Here at DHCD Computing we can help keep your computer protected by installing an Anti-Virus package for you and set them up to be most effective. We currently recommend Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 for complete protection. For a one time setup fee of £60 we will setup, configure Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 with a 1 year license + for the term of the license free expert virus removal. VIRUS REMOVAL

If you already have an infection or suspect an infection on your computer and need our expertise and cleaning up your system then give us a call today. We offer free evaulation of your system and provide you with what will need doing and how long we reckon it will be.

We currently offer an hourly rate of £25 per hour for Virus Removal or for OAP's £15 per hour. If we beleieve that it is going to take us over the estimated time of 4 hours then we would recommend doing the job on a fixed price*.

Fixed price allows you to pay one fixed fee no matter how long the job takes. Fixed fee can be requested for almost any service we offer and is calculated once we have completed the free evaulation of your computer.

NOTE: We generally do not remove infections on site. We will generally take your computer away with us (or if you'd prefer to drop it off to us thats fine) and will let you know when its repaired. In some cases the infection is too deep to be removed we will have to carry out a 'Wipe and Reinstall' of Windows. This involved backing up all of your data from the computer getting any license codes involved and carrying out the wipe and reinstall then putting all your data back how it was.

If this is required we will contact you for approval first and will take approximatly 48 to 72 hours to complete. We do not charge this on an hourly rate we offer this at a fixed fee which we will discuss with your prior to carrying out the work. If we start off by trying to clean the infection on an hourly rate and it then turns out that it is not possible, we will then have to carry out the 'Wipe and Reinstall' and we will drop all charges for the time used to try and clean the infection and only charge for the 'Wipe and Reinstall' so you don't have to worry about a huge bill at the end of it all.

For fixed price customer you will still pay the same amount for a wipe and reinstall. Any data backed up will be restored to your computer after the job is finished. We will also keep a copy of the backup on our systems for 30 days in the event you have any problems.

If you require a copy of your backup on discs then we charge 75p per disc. You can also request just a certain part of your data on disc that is fine as well. We now also offer an online service to retreive data. If you would like web access to your data it is charged at £5 to set up and we will give you a link, username and password then you can download what you need when you need it.
