Here at DHCD Computing we have seen and heard about computers being stolen and never recovered and its upsetting that there is nothing to help get your stolen computer.

Well hopefully we now have the answer!

We are developing a new product to help protect your computer. We have found similar products on the market but nothing that does exactly what our product is doing.

We cannot protect your laptop from being stolen however with our product you are giving you comptuer a fighting chance of being recovered and catching the person who has it.

It protects your laptop by taking a picture of who is using your computer and its location (very exact) then encrypting it and safely transporting it to us where it will be held securley for 30 days incase of the event of it being stolen.

If your computer was then stolen contact your local police and report it as stolen, Then provide us this your crime number and we will collaborate with the police at no extra cost and provide them with the data we have on file and try and recover your computer.

We will NEVER give out any data collected to anyone not even the account holder due to privacy. We have a strict privacy guideline for this service and your data will not be decrypted apart from providing it to the police upon a report and only when we have been given a crime number.

This product is currently in development and is due to be released during Summer 2010. We are currently looking for Beta testers of this package and during Beta stages you will have the product complete free of charge in exchange for testing our product out. Also as an incentive for testers we are also offering an exteneded free license depending on the test phases you complete:

Public Beta 1 - Anyone who tests out our product for the complete stage of Beta 1 will automatically be given a 3 month free license for our package!

Public Beta 2 - Testing this phase will give you an additional 2 month free license

Public Beta 3 - This phase will entitle you to an additional 1 month free license on top of anything you have already been given.

So if you complete all Public Beta Releases that will entitle you to a whole 6 MONTHS free license starting from when the Final release is on sale. You are also entitled to cancel using the product after your free trial if you wish.

At the moment our pricing structure is not final and is subject to change upon final release. We are accepting pre-orders of this product and if you sign up now you will get the price listed here unless we reduce the price in which case you will receive the discount:

We are also looking to implement a cheaper price set for those without a webcam that can only take advantage of the location awareness part of the product.
